A theory was proposed by Abraham Maslow in his 1943 paper “A theory of human motivation” that is notably depicted as a pyramid where the most basic desires of our human lives occupy the largest and bottom part of the pyramid and those related to self-actualization and self-transcendence are at the very top. Join us in this episode as we delve into how this impacts our daily lives, the choices we make and what we focus our energy and attention on. Understanding this would not only help us to better understand our own needs, but also those of others we come in to frequent contact with. Interestingly enough, this law is universal to the extent of us being able to apply it in our place of work to foster a healthy work environment for our employees and direct reports as well.
